1956 flyttade bråkmakaren Jerry Lee Lewis från Louisiana till Memphis, fast besluten om att knuffa ner Elvis från tronen med sin vildsinta "gudagåva". När Lewis spelar flygel med tårna, blir fansen galna av lycka. När han sedan tänder eld på flygeln, stormar de scenen.
