Robert the Bruce
Efter att ha hjälpt William Wallace i frihetskampen som skildras i Braveheart har Robert the Bruce krönt sig själv till konung av det fria Skottland. Men engelsmännen är enträgna att återfå sin förlorade landsdel. I slag efter slag får Robert se sig besegrad, och den skotska adeln vänder honom ryggen. Från ingenting, med friheten som enda drivkraft, reser sig kungen än en gång för att kriga för sitt land.
