The Chase
I det lilla sydstatssamhället tror de flesta att Sheriffen Calder går i oljemagnaten Val Rogers ledband. När det kommer ut att Bubba Reeves rymt från fängelset blir Rogers son skärrad eftersom han inlett ett förhållande med Bubbas fru. Många i stan verkar ha anledning att känna rädsla över Reeves flykt. Calders mål är att infånga Reeves oskadd. Men i sin ambition att skapa rättvisa blir Calder klämd mellan Rogers och den lynchmobb som sakta men säkert uppstår.
