The Pelican Brief
Juridikstuderande Darby Shaw skriver om mordet på två stycken domare, och när hennes arbete hamnar i fel händer hotas hon till livet. Då vänder hon sig till dagstidningen Washington där reportern Gray Grantham jobbar. Grantham, som läser det hon skrivit om mordet på de två domarna, blir mycket intresserad. Snart har han och Darby upptäckt en otrolig konspiration.
