The Spirit of the Beehive
Metaforisk berättelse om situationen i Spanien på 1940-talet efter inbördeskriget. Den åttaåriga Ana och hennes syster går på en visning av "Frankenstein" i byns lokala biograf. Ana har svårt att släppa filmen efteråt och börjar oroa sig för vad som hände med monstret. Anas syster diktar ihop en historia om att monstrets ande bor i ett öde hus utanför byn. Ana börjar därefter att besöka huset varje dag i hopp om att möta monstrets ande.
